Experienced musical direction, evidence-led vocal coaching, and arrangements that are exciting yet accessible, brought together for singers and choir directors.
Craig is a Principal Lecturer on the Popular Music degree at Leeds Conservatoire, where in 2015 he founded the LC Pop Choir, who (then known as Leeds Contemporary Singers) later rose to fame as the winners of BBC One's Pitch Battle. More than ten years on, he remains the choir's Musical Director and the ensemble has since appeared on Britain's Got Talent (2024) and the European final of the How Sweet The Sound; a gospel competition hosted at the Royal Albert Hall. Craig is also the Musical Director of the multi-award winning North Yorkshire community choir Knot Another Choir.
Together with his choirs, Craig has performed at many prestigious venues and events, including the Royal Festival Hall (London, 2016), MIPCOM (Cannes, 2017) and Children in Need (Wembley Arena, 2018). He has also appeared on television broadcasts for the BBC, ITV, RTÉ, Channel 4 and Sky.
Craig is a renowned workshop leader, both domestically and internationally. Recent and regular engagements include the Pan-European Voice Conference (Italy, 2015 and Spain, 2024), the Hamburg Voice Symposium (Germany, 2016 and 2022 to 2026), the International Congress of Voice Teachers (Sweden, 2017), Gospel Rising Festival (Ireland, 2018 and 2019), UK Choir Festival (2019 and 2022 to 2026), Choice for Voice (UK, 2021), the International Tutorial Symposium (Austria, 2023), the National Singing Symposium (UK, 2023), the Multidisciplinary Voice Conference (Switzerland, 2024) and Eurovox (Switzerland, 2026), as well as private workshops in Poland, Amsterdam, Germany, Ireland and many more.
Craig served as a Director of the British Voice Association from 2015 to 2019, and was then elected President, holding the office until 2021, becoming the first person to be re-elected to the role for consecutive terms. He is also a director and owner of The Workplace Choir Company; the UK's leading provider of office-based choir experiences.
As an arranger, Craig has built a substantial catalogue of contemporary choral arrangements that have been bought and performed by choirs around the world.
He also keeps a thriving private coaching practice, working with professional and amateur singers alike. His approach blends performance technique and style, while always keeping artistry at the centre.
His education and advisory work is wide ranging. He has delivered projects and masterclasses for the Royal Northern College of Music, Leeds Playhouse, Wakefield Theatre Royal, Mind the Gap (England's largest learning-disability theatre company) and many local authority music services across the UK. In 2016 and 2017 he collaborated with the audio technology manufacturer TC-Helicon on an electronic choir project. In 2021 he acted as an external advisor to the Welsh Academy of Voice and Dramatic Arts during the creation of several of its undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He has also contributed heavily to the development of Leeds Conservatoire's new Performance and Pedagogy degree, which launched in 2025 and is the first of its type in the country.
